Our Mission

First of all, thank-you for visiting this site!  Gold Canyon is famous for, not only its scenic backdrop of the beautiful Superstition Mountain Range, many glorious hiking trails but also was home to Apacheland Movie Ranch where famous stars including Elvis, Stella Stevens, Ronald Reagan and Victoria Principle starred in films (see video below for history of the area) Come join us for our first annual film festival.  We are looking forward to showcasing inspiring films from around the world.  There will be many innovative events, keynote speakers from the film industry, an opening night festival and closing night awards ceremony.  Let's make memories happen!

Our Festival

The Gold Canyon Film Festival is all about inspiration and innovation.  We will have an opening night welcome party~including a happy hour/mixer where you can mingle and network with other filmmakers.  Then we will close with an awards dinner where the best feature, short and documentary will get their awards ~ women filmmakers and student filmmakers are welcome, of course.  Submit today on www.filmfreeway.com

Entry Rules

  

GENERAL FESTIVAL RULES
All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

Failure to comply with guidelines, rules, regulations, & eligibility is cause for disqualification.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older (or have your parent or guardian submit on minors behalf) to enter the competition.

The Gold Canyon Film Festival reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any project or film submitted.

All entered scripts and films must be the original work of the author or authors. Multiple authorship allowed.

By entering the GCFF competition through FilmFreeway, all entrants  release any hold the Gold Canyon Film Festival, it’s Board of Directors,  Officers, Staff and Volunteers from all losses, damages, rights,  claims, and actions of any kind arising in whole or in part, directly or  indirectly, from participation with the competition or in any  competition related event.

GCFF submissions via FilmFreeway are NOT guaranteed to be promoted, honored, or screened at any GCFF event.

Submission, entry and any fees are for an inclusion in the GCFF  Judging Process (from which SOME applicants are then chosen to be  honored and/or screened at an GCFF event)

SCREENER SHIPPING INFORMATION:
- Please submit Films via FilmFreeway Secure Online Screener
- Or submit by sending a physical DVD (NTSC ONLY).
- If using mail: please send all submissions in the smallest  possible shipping envelopes, to help reduce our environmental footprint.
- All Submissions must be in English or have English subtitles.
- Mark any physical submission DVD copy or disc packaging with:
OIFF Tracking Number
Directors Name,
Film Title,
Running Time,
Contact Phone Number.
- Avoid sticker labels on discs as they may damage players.

FAQ

  Can I submit my film without paying the entry fee due to sanctions in my country?


All GCFF entries must go through Film Freeway's entry and submission methods, including payment of entry fees to be considered.
